Europe Trip 2005 - the Italy leg
Italian trains, well, in the words of Vish, they suck really. And the number of tourists, particularly Americans, made Florence a complete write-off (that is until we found the Japanese rose garden atop that hill). But Venice was in no way a disappointment, exceeding my grandest expectations.
A week in Italy (Verona, Florence, Bologna, Venice and Genoa) with minor train mishaps.
Note: We're cleaning up the Photo Galleries; please excuse the messy layout it'll be better soon. - Mgmt.

You really have to be there, watching 20 people at a go doing this, and mind you, this is just a few moments after YOU thought of it, and suddenly it all comes crashing down on you. Sad.

There is a very long story about the Italian train strike -- suffice it to say it was merely the trailing end of an annoying crescendo of mediocre Italian travel problems.
